WRONG Gallery Taipei
Sitting near Huashan 1914 Creative Park is probably one of the most underrated gallery art space that I had come across so far.
WRONG Gallery, is not what it seems when you found yourself marveling at vinyl toys from pop culture and artist alike from all over the world, but the 2nd floor actually features an ever-changing pop-out art space which exhibits various art pieces monthly.
I met the really nice “Wei” and “Ting” who shared more about this space to me. Ah Wei is probably the man running most part of the show on the ground as he took me around the ground floor and up, sharing me stories of the gallery and his own. It felt as if like I just met up an old friend who is retelling his stories from his life.
Cabinets and shelves showcase toys from various parts of the globes, honoring the projects of several artists. Figurines various origins, size and form are arranged neatly while at costumes, life-size props were featured at the other side. You’ll have a lot of fun exploring merchandises of various famous pop culture and vinyl toys alike!
They even gave me a cup off bubble tea to go with before I left, and though I’m no fan of bubble tea, this kind gesture really made the bubble tea felt extra sweet, and a little more heartwarming!
I was truly honored to be invited to the opening of “Passed from Life into Death” by the manager of the art space. Meeting and speaking to Taylor, the brains and muscle of the sculpture project.
I was graced with not just insights but also what went on before the thought process and journey of bringing the whole project to life.
I was truly happy to be able to be a part of it and here is to more success to WRONG Gallery!
