Tang² Malatang
"What shall we have for dinner?"
We were pretty lost after our time at GRiD and Peace Centre when our hunger pangs kicked in. We looked around the area and found nothing right...
"We could have mala if we're in the west."
"I think I saw a Mala shop just now."
And there it is! Tang Tang Mala.
We headed in, and were extremely lucky to find ourselves taking the last seat in the house. It was a busy weekend evening.
I like how they have a standardized way to calculate the pricing, regardless of the type of ingredients that you pick. And also, the best part? Unlimited free sauce; that includes the Mala Peanuts that I'm really addicted to.
I hauled up a good five spoonfuls of mala peanuts, and then we started digging in. Their dry mala is indeed pretty good, but the flavors are not as strong as my usuals at Thye Guan. However, I'm sure the ingredients for sauces and flavoring are going to make up for that.
With the free-flow peanuts, this is going to be my go-to mala spot in town! Also, before I forget, they are open until 4:30 am! Probably going to be an affordable supper spot for mala in town as well.
