Taipei Fine Arts Museum
The amazing architecture of the building still does not do justice to the wonderful artwork held inside. Encased in this minimalistic building is a whopping 4 levels (B1-L3) worth of art galore.
I checked out this place after my work and it is a truly refreshing experience overall. I entered from the south entrance and the whole architecture and interior blew me away. I was totally in love with the inverted tree that was displayed right at the counter. It is easily one of the best installations that I had seen in here and so far. Henrik really winged this one real good.
Do also get an English Audio guide by the information counter if you would like to understand the art in English. It’s free and it would definitely help you to get a better overall experience.
I am in love with the 3rd floor where they showcase various installations that had graced the Taipei Art Awards and every single one of them is truly enjoyable. From the robot students to cardboard world, you’ll find yourself lost in the maze of arts in this one. Literally sometimes, as almost everywhere is “interconnected” so sometimes you might find yourself a little lost or wandering through the same exhibits.
Alongside with this place, there are also 2 parks nearby within walking distance. The Xinsheng Park, and the Art Park if you love the beauty of nature. Also, do give MAJI Square ago if food and free live music performances are your things.
