After assisting with V’s proposal decorations, we headed to 65 Table for an amazing gastronomic treat, courtesy of the happiest man on earth that day!
The sleek noir decor, splendid wood, and cool metal surfaces of the kitchen make it more than just an ordinary kitchen, but "the kitchen." Food is prepared right before our eyes, fresh and timed perfectly to our eating pace so we are served immediately after we finish, ensuring we taste heaven at the perfect temperature.
Having never experienced fine dining, this was a whole new world for me. A mysterious world of gastronomically prepared food engineered via science to stimulate our taste buds. I decided to dedicate my art to their art, focusing on their food rather than the place itself. The people in sleek black attire moved smoothly across the kitchen like dancers, exuding elegance. This is for the actual art that tantalized my taste buds.
The first dish appeared smaller than my palm, accompanied by a bubbly gel served in a saucer, resembling soapy water. I appreciated the short stories shared about the dishes as the chef described each one, gesturing to its ingredients. Lost in the magic of the recipe and taste, I found it difficult to label the unique flavors.
By the second dish, my taste buds were ablaze with excitement as I savored the sourdough and whipped butter. The flavors were pinpoint and precise, like the iPhone of bread. I believe the staff noticed our amazement and graciously offered us two more helpings during the meal.
I had to capture my feelings while they were still fresh. Each dish was served on custom-made tables with drawers for cutlery, adding to the experience. The taste explosion of the third dish served in a golden dish left a lasting impression on my palate.
The fish dish evoked memories of home with its familiar aromas. The intricate preparation honored the ingredients, while the accompanying sauce whispered of home with its familiar aftertaste.
The main course, ox tail cooked to perfection and adorned with black truffle, was a treat for the senses. Each component of the dish complemented the others perfectly, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors.
The legendary Apple dessert was a work of art, almost too beautiful to eat. The transparent caramel and gleaming apple stalk resembled metal, showcasing the engineering prowess behind the dish.
The final dish, reminiscent of colorful gems, sparked conversation with the chef. Despite my introverted nature, I longed to hear more of his stories. This dish, like his tales, was elusive yet captivating, connecting us on a deeper level through food and language.
This fine dining experience was more than just filling; it was spiritually and gastronomically awakening. As we walked away, lost in a daze of flavors and memories, I couldn't help but feel a shift in perspective. These dining experiences would never be forgotten, opening my mind to new thoughts and possibilities. If you've never tried fine dining, it's time to experience something different.
