Sunset from Qianyue Building

It was indeed a strange day with emotional whirl when I decided to venture into the abandoned building again, this time alone.

I wanted to bring some food up at first but seems like timing doesn’t allow after I rushed back to get some of my clothing for my own shoot. I watched the sun hide behind the buildings of the concrete jungle. I watched her appear and disappear again behind the buildings, as I ventured down into Miyahara, finding Qianyue building right in front of me.

I went up myself, retracing the steps that H have told me. Moving up towards level 5, I saw some faces but didn’t see him there. I said hi, and they nodded back as if giving me a gesture of approval.

I head on up and reached the top in no time. I didn’t stop this time round, only to stop until I reached the 13th floor, before climbing up the circular building. The top deck is ruined, with floorboards being broken. I didn’t dare to test my luck as I could see there’s nothing left to hold the deck.

I stuck around on the second floor and noticed the slab of concrete by the side. The sun is still there, glowing with such rage and passion. I could almost see her smile. I stood there, watching the magnificent sun glaring at the whole cityscape. The town turned orange as she slowly descends as if a ballerina bowing before the curtain calls.

I watched her orange fluffy skirt stretches across the townscape and colours the skies red as she bows. For a moment, the town seems so full of life again, with the hues of red coloring the windows of the buildings and the skies.

I watched the skies turned into a ghoulish blue before slowly making my way down with a flashlight. It was indeed a once in a lifetime experience to watch the sunset on such a unique building.
