Space Cafe
Located right under KSL's Holiday Villa, just minutes' walk away from the mall KSL itself, Space is definitely a place that people would check out if they happen to be staying in the vicinity.
As our KTMB boarding time is at 11:30, we decided to stop by right after an early check-out at 9:30, dropping by for coffee and pastries before heading off.
The space really captivated us before anything, and I love how there are "different" sections, with a portion of it segregated by a flowy curtain. It felt like different sets of space together, from the counters against the glass to the counter seating along the wall, the benches, and the honeycomb seats deeper inside.
It was unfortunate that they were out of pastries, and the delivery is only after 10, which seems a little too risky. We opted for other items on the menu, trying out their mains instead: sandwiches and fries! Their drinks aren't too shabby either, as they have a variety of intriguing drinks, from the partially frozen glass of Smooth Sea to their matcha latte. And none of them disappoint!
I would have opted for the Caramel Biscotti Coffee if I had seen it earlier, but that only means that I'll be back again sometime to check this one off. The sandwich, however, is a surprising contender as the smoked salmon tasted really good with the sourdough. I love how fresh and tender the flesh of the salmon is, and it is really filling despite sharing a single serving between us.
We left the cafe after sitting for about an hour, noticing that it's about time for us to head to check in for our train. And we'll be back again!
