Kenting National Forest Recreation Area
You could take the public bus up and down however the frequency isn’t too attractive so you might want to try you lucky to hitchhike up. It isn’t too difficult due to the number of locals driving up and they are usually more than happy to give you a ride either way.

I asked the staff for their recommendation as we didn’t have all day and they told us the cave and the tower is the must go.
The whole park isn’t too big, most of them are walkable and hikable, but you’ll be able to spend a long time inside due to the number of attractions available to visitors.
I felt that the admission can be a little costly for some, setting you back at 150NT on a peak period. You’ll be able to make your dollars worth if you start your day early, but the cave and the observatory is still an amazing experience for me.
