Whitestone Gallery
I met the heartwarming duo, Shane and Ally, when we exchanged greetings and we hit right off from there.
Whitestone Gallery features 2 different exhibition space with one spanning at 2 storeys high with a “walkable concierge”, it is designed by the Japanese Architect Kengo Kuma and I was totally shocked to even hear that we’re able to walk up on the “stairs” to the other part of the exhibit.
The second level is a small exhibition square which features some more exhibition, but it is amazing to walk up the stairs where art books are decorated at the sides.
The other separated exhibition space is located right next door. This is a humble space with an automated door which is probably their “bonus round” of artworks.
This space isn’t too big to cover and personally the more art space they have the better it is for visitors alike.
I ended my night by killing two birds with one stone (pun intended)
I hope you would find my Xihu Art Exploration project useful for your trip as I surprisingly did 4 different art space in a day.
