"Okay, tomorrow we'll go eat Seng Kee Mee Sua; it's super popular."
I'm not very adventurous with food, so I skipped the pig intestine/organs and opted for lean meat.
The "Seng Kee Mee Sua" is just one of the dishes in the eating house; they also offer a variety of Tze char options. If you didn't know, you'd never guess it's their signature dish.
I would expect this place to be packed during peak hours, with people from the landed enclave coming out for some fresh air and dinner. There's quite a crowd for a rainy afternoon.
As funny as it sounds, it's my first time trying Mee Sua; though I've seen people going for the likes of Shiloh's OR Mee Sua, I never thought or even wondered about how it tastes! It felt like a thicker, creamier version of Ban Mian, a comfort food.
I wished I could have enjoyed the food more, only to realize that I had to rush to another impromptu appointment with a 20-minute notice. We hastily finished up, and I understood why my mum always points out, asking if we know how the food tastes when we are multitasking or speed eating.
I'll be back again on another rainy afternoon to appreciate the food.
