HomeTeam NS, a place of interest that all Singaporean males would be more than familiar with. From entertainment to lifestyle, usually, a "HomeTeam NS" doesn't disappoint. They even have chalets available, so think of this place like a Resort-cum-Shopping Plaza of sorts. We ran through the different food options across the net and found Select Gourmet for a quick bite. But little did I know this felt like a place worth covering.
I like how there isn't much staff, nor was it very cluttered. It felt like a futuristic canteen whereby we order via a web app, and our food would be prepared by the backend before delivering to us via a locker after notifying us via an LED board. It's a great system for pickups, delivery, and ordering alike, making things efficient, and it didn't just end there. There are also a variety of brands who are under this Gourmet Canteen. From dimsum to Japanese, Vietnamese/Thai, and even the king of fried rice! So what's not to like?
Ordering is very fuss-free, but we do have to pay by inputting our credit/debit card instead of options like Apple Pay. So that's something to take note of before dining there, or you'll find yourself trying to find a photo of your debit card or get someone to recite/send it to you over the phone.
You know what's the best for rainy weather? A hot, piping Pork Cutlet fried rice while we shared a luncheon fries. And we are good to go! Select Gourmet is definitely gonna be a go-to place for me whenever I'm looking to get food nearby Bukit Batok.
