Neighbourgoods Market (JHB)
We ended the whole walking tour with a blast for lunch at this unique artisan hipster of a food market. This place packs so much of a punch that it will sweep you off your feet.
It was initially overwhelming because it wasn’t what I expected a market to be in the decaying city of Joburg.
The lighting was bright and warm, stalls lined up in organised manner, by the sides with benches in between. It is a surprisingly nice place to socialise due to the long benches.
Solo travellers would definitely find it easier to socialize due to their stretch of long benches that force you to sit together with strangers.
The deck comes with more seating area and also a bar. So you won’t have to worry about not being able to find your favourite drink to go with.
This gigantic social-culinary-playground also comes with a humble artist market at the back.Do give this place a go if you’re ever at Joburg,
