National Museum of Natural Science

As a museum junkie, I have to cross out the museum of natural science! So it’s not always just arts here for you people! Like the earthquake Museum, the museum of natural science though is not in the area of arts, but is considered one of the great museums in Taichung!

The area is really huge and they are separated into various buildings, with the middle being the free exhibit, the left side being the paid exhibit and the one on the right being the theatre.

We bought a ticket to the space theatre and grab a quick breakfast before checking out the theatre. And our timing was great as there’s an excursionongoingg so you can imagine the noise and chatter of excitement. Nothing against children but noise and crowd aren't really my thing.

I don’t hate children at all, but the experience wasn’t as great as I thought, and of course, there are usually a lot of kids (excursion), which might affect your experience as well. To me, it actually felt like a “lesson” instead of a “journey to space” which I was hoping for the latter.

And, Penny Collectors would love this place as they have several DIY Penny Souvenir Machines over here! (I found 3!) I got suckered in really quickly for this one.

If you’re ever going to the Museum of Natural Science, feel free to skip the 3D theatre as I would rather you use the 100NT to pay for the exhibition instead.

Also, don’t forget that there is a botanical garden right at the back! Be sure to check that out as well!
