Oryukdo Island / Skywalk
After Yunggungsa, we are left without much time, so we only get to choose either Oryukdo or Gamcheon. I caught an amazing Sunset while en route to Oryukdo, and we head over to the skywalk immediately.
We were alittle too late by the time we're there, and it is a huge bummer that the skywalk's close. But the best thing that comes out of it is the tranquility and the quiet of the area after the crowd dissipates.
"It's beautiful, truly beautiful", My brother cannot stop praising the beauty of the place.
It is very refreshing to see how my brother falls in love with a place along our journey. I have never seen it before, and he probably didn't know how his eyes light up at the Oryukdo. For me, it took me a while to fall in love. I compared with afew other places that I have secured in my head, from Pu Chi Fa to Table Mountain. However, the beauty of the island across the sea gives it a unique touch. It is as if we are very high up, looking at something very small, like an illusion. It is probably what's on my mind while I was admiring the beauty of this.
We broke off and end up wandering by ourselves, taking photos, while I'm peering all corners, taking panoramas, before keeping the phone while trying to take the place in. The cool air across my face, the strong yet gentle breeze that can get alittle pushy but not too uncomfortable, and ultimately the quiet. It is really sad that the convenient store and cafe are closed, else we would have gladly chill over there. I took another breath as if trying to keep the air of Oryukdo inside me. It is our last day here, and it only gets better. I never know I'll miss this, that I would love to stay here, for a while more.
"Hey, let's take a photo together", I said while taking a breath of anxiety. It is weird how we don't really take photos of ourselves and with each other. We sort of have tough love, and I don't exactly talk about depression with my family. A pragmatic household didn't make my vulnerabilities feel like problems, but more like you should chase dollar bills, not dreams.
We decided to venture down, towards the edge before thinking of where to go. Little did we know that we would find the best beef cube rice in Busan (for me!), and explored Jeonpo's Cafe Street.
