Latam Coffee
Liubei visited Kong Ming 3 times. While they say that 3 times is a charm, it didn't hold true this time. The queue at Lan Fong Yeun was absurdly long, too lengthy to justify waiting in line for me.
I wandered around Heath as I looked for alternatives. Perhaps it was too early, as most shops weren't open before 11 am. The Dominican burger cafe caught my eye a few times, but I quickly averted my gaze. Don't get me wrong, I'm always up for a burger, but I felt like having something more "Hong Kong."
I explored the social area, where an array of shops were located, but still, nothing seemed to catch my attention. "Burger it is," I told myself, as I hadn't really tried many burgers in Hong Kong. My trip had been filled with polo buns, wonton noodles, and kong zhai mee.
I waited patiently, strolling around the exhibition space (little did I know it would turn out to be the best exhibition I had ever attended), or I could easily call it the best photography exhibition I had experienced so far.

Finally! I saw the staff flip the sign from "closed" to "open," and I walked in with a smile. I love quiet and empty cafes. Admittedly, it might not be the best for business, but a crowded cafe usually deters me.
The familiar tune of New Jean's "OMG" started playing, and I couldn't resist New Jean's Kpop, not even in Hong Kong where I'd opt for a Cantonese song any day. I went ahead and ordered a classic cheeseburger before pausing at the drink selection.
"So... I'm an Americano kinda guy, so do you think I should go for the Dominican Coffee or the Orange Black Coffee?"
"Hmm, in that case, I would recommend the Dominican Coffee."
Food's served shortly and the burger is indeed a pleasant surprise! The cheeseburger is tender and juicy and I love how it isn't too dry. I like how the patty isn't too chewy and it felt just right. The whole burger isn't too overwhelming and perhaps hunger is also the best sauce. The coffee and the ambient was what made me want to be back again! The coffee came with an instruction card; I had never tried honey and cinnamon with coffee before. The flavor wasn't overly sweet, and I enjoyed the subtle hint of cinnamon blended with the coffee. I also have to mention how great the music was (yay, Kpop), and the friendly staff even let me use the plug to charge my phone before my flight!
I will definitely revisit this place if I want to unwind during my afternoon.
